Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with a contract to design and build 7 separate fish passages worth an estimated £10 million.
The fish passages are required in order for Yorkshire Water to comply with regulatory duties under the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP). The 7 pre-defined locations for the passes are:
- River Burn
- Airebank Mills
- Cheesebottom Weir
- Cononley Weir
- Farnley Beck
- Schole Hill
- Watson Mill
The initial contract is for five years with a further three 12 month extension options.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 25th November 2018 – click here to access the tender documentation
