Global architecture, engineering and sustainability consultancy Ramboll has today announced that Simon Jefferson has been appointed as Water Sector Lead for the UK & Ireland.

In his new role, Simon will head up Ramboll’s water practice in the UK & Ireland, further strengthening the company’s offering in the water sector and enhancing Ramboll’s established position as a critical supply chain partner. He will play a crucial role in driving innovation and delivering key programmes and projects across the sector, ensuring sustainability and resilience are prioritised at every stage.

Simon Jefferson has 20 years’ experience in senior commercial roles in the water sector, both on the client and contractor side, and over 10 years’ senior experience in a regulated water business.
Bringing with him a deep understanding of the sector and exceptional leadership skills, he will focus on further developing Ramboll’s client relationships, increasing key stakeholder engagement across the business, delivering commercial value for clients, and ensuring the sustained growth and development of Ramboll’s projects and team.
As the lead for water, Jefferson will be responsible for achieving Ramboll’s vision to act as the partner for sustainable change for both new and existing clients across the sector. Embedding commercial best practice and developing sustainable growth opportunities will be central to his new role, while delivering added-value solutions that lead to sustainable outcomes for end customers will be another key focus.
