Anglian Water has been setting out the benefits of water pressure management with details of its latest scheme.
The company is investing around £28,000 on a scheme which will allow it to make adjustments to the water pressure in Kislingbury, Rothersthorpe and Milton Malsor villages.
The water company expects the number of burst water mains and smaller leaks in the area will reduce by 62%.
Anglian Water explained that the work means it can provide a more consistent water pressure to each of the 3194 properties in the area and that water supplies will be more reliable.
The firm has invested over £3 million on smart water pressure management since 2010. In areas where improvements to the water pressure management have already been made, the number of burst water mains has reduced by 80% and smaller leaks are down by 40%.
