The Technology Strategy Board is to host a free Innovations in Energy & Sustainability event on 14 June 2012.
The event is being organised by the EG&S KTN in collaboration with the Environmental Sustainability KTN and the Defence SIG, working jointly with the Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and the Technology Strategy Board. The event will take place at the Thistle Hotel Marble Arch, London
The 'challenge-led' event will allow innovators to learn about the energy and sustainability challenges being faced by the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Services, to encourage innovation and provide an opportunity to engage with potential novel solution providers from across the breadth of the UK technology base.
Delegates will also hear from the Technology Strategy Board about their energy and sustainability programme.
To show how the sustainability challenge is already stimulating innovation in both civil and defence sectors, a number of companies will provide 'case study' presentations on the outputs of their research in this important challenge area.
Representatives from Dstl and TSB will be on-hand to answer questions about MOD's and the TSB's energy and sustainability research programmes.
