United Utilities has gone out to tender with an AMP8 contract for pump repair framework with a total estimated value of £24 million.
Scope of work and services to be provided under the framework covers the repair / overhaul of pumps that are used on company sites, throughout its operational area.
Scope of services include work and services carried out at both at company sites and the contractors’ own workshops and will also include collection and delivery to company sites.
The principal requirements are for mechanical fitting and machining work carried out for the repair/overhaul of pumps - a small amount of electrical work and services will also be required.
The lotting structure has been implemented based on the complexity of the pumps in use and the requirements to repair such pumps from an engineering requirement and competency.
The two Lots are:
- Lot 1 - Small, Simple and Routine pump repairs (£18,000,000)
- Lot 2 - Large, Complex or Critical pump repairs (£6,000,000)
Term of the framework agreement contract is 96 months spanning AMP8 and AMP9.
United Utilities is looking to appoint up to eight participants to the framework agreement.
