Scottish water technology firm RSE will take a leading role at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition when water sector professionals from around the world gather in Glasgow next month.
As principal sponsor of the event – which is expected to draw around 10,000 delegates from more than 100 countries – RSE will lead a series of discussions highlighting practical responses to the sector’s defining challenges, while demonstrating how its technology can help deliver solutions at scale.
Under the theme: “Water action – the path to resilience and prosperity”, this year’s Congress coincides with a period of mounting pressures across the global water sector – from climate change and population growth to ageing infrastructure – and will focus on turning knowledge and innovation into tangible outcomes,
The five-day event will take place from 4-8 October at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) along the banks of the River Clyde.

Throughout the week, delegates will have the opportunity to meet RSE’s team of engineers and technical specialists at its stand in the exhibition hall and learn more about how they’re applying engineered solutions to a range of major infrastructure projects.
Senior leaders from the company will also host a programme of business forums exploring technologies and delivery approaches that are shaping the future of water infrastructure, including modular ceramic ultrafiltration, nature-based solutions and Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles.

RSE’s programme of business forums includes:
- Modular Ceramic Ultrafiltration: As utilities seek flexible and resilient treatment solutions, modular approaches are creating new opportunities to deploy capacity more quickly and efficiently. This session will explore the application of ceramic ultrafiltration and scalable treatment plants, drawing on South Staffordshire Water's Hampton Loade project.
- Beyond the Grey: Nature-based solutions are becoming an increasingly important part of the infrastructure conversation. This forum will explore how engineered ecosystems can complement traditional assets while delivering wider environmental and social benefits, including examples developed in partnership with Biomatrix.
- Modular Water Treatment: Redefining DfMA: Modern methods of construction have the potential to transform how water infrastructure is delivered. This session will consider how Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles can help improve efficiency, accelerate project delivery and support greater consistency across complex programmes of work.
- Ceramic Ultrafiltration: Water quality and operational resilience remain key priorities for utilities worldwide. This discussion will examine the role of ceramic ultrafiltration in providing a resilient barrier against suspended solids, pathogens and organics, drawing on UK and international market applications.
