United Utilities has issued a Periodic Indicative Notice seeking supply chain input ahead of going out to tender with an AMP7 contract for digital services and consultancy.

The water company is looking to obtain specialist digital skills, bespoke consultancy services, related product services and resources to support the “Journey To Excellence” programme within its Digital Services department.
The aim of the services is to:
1.Support the functional capability maturity measurement and associated improvements
2. Deliver specialist and innovative digital skills into Digital Services and the wider UU business
3. Support enhanced and innovative digital assurance to underpin the digital strategy
4. Help to build the capability to capture, process and analyse data to support the UU “data as an asset” approach.
The contract will be tendered in four separate Lots.
- Lot 1 Capability Maturity - Identify and deliver enhancements to mature core capabilities in accordance with the digital business strategy ambition and Target Operating Model.
- Providing effective and minimal business impact solutions, through a variety of techniques, processes, tools and software to enable transformation.
- Lot 2 Data as an Asset - Identify and deliver cost effective and minimal business impact solutions relating to the capture, movement, processing and analysis of data through a variety of techniques, tools, software and hardware.
- Lot 3 Specialist Digital Skills - Supplement the Company’s resource to support and deliver the strategic direction, enhancement, management and maintenance of the digital capabilities, technology solutions and/or data science. Offering specialist skills, knowledge or business processes aligned to future digital agenda and Industry 5.0.
- Lot 4 Digital Assurance - Identify and deliver assurance activities to support the digital agenda and business strategy, in technology specialisms, best practice delivery methodology and operational processes.
