The United Nations has opened applications for in-person side events at the 2026 UN Water Conference, to be held 8-10 December in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The conference, co-hosted by the Republic of Senegal and the United Arab Emirates, is mandated to accelerate implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6), on water and sanitation for all.
Side events in the UN accredited zone at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center will run alongside the official programme, giving Member States, UN entities, intergovernmental organizations and accredited stakeholders space to collaborate and share knowledge on SDG 6 and the wider 2030 Agenda.
Only accredited organizations may serve as lead or co-organizers, and priority will go to events led by Member States or organized jointly across networks, given limited venue space.
Applications are due by 31 July 2026, through the official form, and organizers are encouraged to read the application guidelines and partner with others before applying.
