£150 million Yorkshire Water contract win for Galliford Try

Galliford Try plc, the housebuilding and construction Group, has announced this morning that its infrastructure business Morrison Construction has, in joint venture with AECOM Design Build, been awarded two streams of Yorkshire Water's AMP5 framework worth approximately £150 million over five years.

The two streams comprise treatment works, involving capital projects on sewerage and water treatment plants, which is expected to be worth up to £100 million and other installation projects, covering pumping station facilities, expected to be worth around £50 million.

Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Galliford Try plc, commented:

"We are delighted to extend our long-standing relationship with Yorkshire Water as one of its joint venture partners delivering improvements to the water infrastructure for its customers.  This appointment is another significant step in the renewal of our framework agreements with our key water clients and reinforces our position as one of the sector's leading contractors."
