Northern Ireland Water has awarded a contract for the supply, delivery and installation, together with refurbishment and maintenance, for existing chlorination equipment and spare parts within NI Water's sites across Northern Ireland worth £3 million.
Lot 1 of the contract for spare parts for Wallace and Tiernan / Portacell/Electrocatalytic/Evoqua (Cl2 Gas Injection and OSEC Plants) worth £2.25 million was awarded to Sevenoaks-based Evoqua Water Technologies Ltd, the only company to bid for the work.
Belfast firm Fin Maintenance Ltd has won Lot 2, worth £750,000 which covers the supply, delivery, installation/minor refurbishment and maintenance of chlorination equipment and spare parts for Evoqua (Cl2 Gas Injection and OSEC Plants. The company was one of two to tender for the contract.
Both contract will run for three years with three further one year extension options.
