Thames Water has gone out to tender with a contract for pest control services worth an estimated £5.8 million.
The water company is seeking to establish a framework agreement for the provision of pest control services across the whole of the Thames Water region tendered in the following Lots:
Lot 1 — General pest control services (inc. rats, mice, moles, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, mink, cockroaches, fleas, flies, ants, wasps and problem birds — pigeons, Canada geese, crows).
Lot 2A — Treatment and control of mosquitoes, black-winged fungus gnats and other pestiferous fly species;
Lot 2B — Consultancy for treatment and control of mosquitoes, black-winged fungus gnats and other pestiferous fly species.
The framework will cover pest control services at waste-water and clean water sites, depots and offices across the entire Thames Water estate to prevent, control and monitor pest activity. However, for the provision of specialist pest control services under Lot2B, the services are primarily required at two Thames Water sites - Mogden STW, which is in the Twickenham, London area, and Iver South SDC, which is near Colnbrook, Slough.
Any agreements awarded would be based on an initial 3 year term, with option of incremental extensions for up to a period of 8 years in total.
The water company is looking to appoint a maximum of three suppliers to the framework agreement.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 26th September 2016. Click here to access the tender documentation.
