The Anglian Water’s @one Alliance has announced three appointments to its executive leadership team, with Bryan Kennedy named Water Delivery Director, Karl Wolski promoted to Water Recycling Delivery Director – East, and Paul Birch appointed Commercial Director.

The water company said the appointments will strengthen the leadership across the Alliance as it delivers a circa £3 billion capital investment programme for Anglian Water during AMP8 (2025–2030), covering projects to maintain, improve and enhance water and water recycling infrastructure across the region.
The @one Alliance is a collaborative partnership between Anglian Water and seven delivery partners: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, Mott MacDonald Bentley, MWH Treatment, Skanska and Sweco. Working as one integrated team, the partners combine engineering, construction, technical and commercial expertise to deliver projects across the Anglian Water region.
Bryan Kennedy takes responsibility for the Water business unit, supporting the effective delivery of water projects as part of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. Karl Wolski steps up from his previous role as Senior Programme Manager to lead Water Recycling delivery across the eastern region, building on his experience within the Alliance. And finally, Paul Birch joins the executive leadership team as Commercial Director, providing commercial oversight across the programme and supporting effective investment, commercial management and supply chain relationships.
Together, the three appointments support the Alliance’s focus on delivering its programme safely, efficiently and collaboratively, bringing together the expertise of its partner organisations to meet Anglian Water’s AMP8 commitments.
AMP8 represents a significant period of investment in the region’s water infrastructure, with projects designed to improve the resilience, capacity and performance of water and water recycling services. Through this investment, Anglian Water is Building for Better across its region, creating lasting benefits for customers, communities and the environment. Close working between the Alliance’s delivery teams and supply chain will be essential to turning these plans into improvements that deliver long-term value for the region.
Ian Hutchinson, Managing Director of the @one Alliance, said:
“We have a significant programme to deliver during AMP8, and these appointments strengthen the leadership we need to turn that investment into improvements across the region. Bryan, Karl and Paul bring valuable experience to their respective roles. Karl’s promotion also recognises the experience he has developed within the Alliance and the contribution he can make as he takes on greater responsibility.”
With AMP8 running through to 2030, the @one Alliance will continue to bring together the skills, expertise and experience of its partners to deliver Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. The strengthened executive leadership team will support the delivery of this investment, helping to improve the region’s water and water recycling infrastructure and deliver positive outcomes for customers, communities and the environment for years to come."
