Yorkshire Water has awarded an AMP8 SAAS contract for a forecast and derisk tool with an estimated value of £3.6 million including VAT.

Scope of the contract covers a Machine Learning-driven portfolio tool for asset delivery programmes with a proven track record within the industry.
The tool is intended to provide project controls, PMs and Programme Managers to gain portfolio level insight and analysis of risk for small / medium / large infrastructure projects in the water industry.
The tool is required to output accessible information for users with the ability to drill into detail of Primavera P6 and MSP. Vendor support is also required for digital implementation of the tool.
Total value of the contract is estimated on the full possible potential of Yorkshire Water scale up throughout AMP8.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 December 2026 to 31 March 2030, with further possible extension options up to 31 March 2031.
The contract is still for a pilot to take Yorkshire Water to the end of AMP8. If this deemed a solution to take forward, the extension option will allow for Yorkshire Water to re-explore the market.
It also allows for the scale up of project numbers , within the original contract scope, within the contracted system for different areas of the business to allow fuller initiation of the trial.
The contract has been awarded to nPlanLtd – an AI-powered platform for quantifying portfolio deliverability and risk.
Developed for Programme and Portfolio Directors, PMO Leads and Portfolio Managers, the platform is based on an archive of past project data, with a dataset consisting of more than 750,000 past project schedules. According nPlanLtd, this is the largest collection of past programmes in the world, representing every capital project sector.
