Scottish Water Horizons has gone out to tender with a contract for the provision of tankering services across Scotland worth up to £8 million.
The materials likely to be require tankering are non-hazardous sludges from commercial and industrial clients including category 3 animal by-products, landfill leachates, other liquid non-hazardous waste, septic waste and sewage.
The company is looking to appoint a maximum of five suppliers to the framework agreement, which will run for an initial two year period with the option to extend for a further period of up to 6 years. as the discretion of Scottish Water.
