WHITSTABLE HARBOURSouthern Water is ramping up efforts to cut storm overflows in Whitstable by rolling out smart artificial intelligence technology, along with major upgrades at Swalecliffe Wastewater Treatment Works and new nature‑based solutions across the town.

WATER PIPE REPLACEMENT GENERICAnglian Water is getting ready to start work on installing 18 kilometres of new water pipes in Gedney Hill to replace the existing pipes - the £4.2 million investment in the substantial upgrade programme is set to future proof the water supply in the area.

BADGER METER UDliveUS-headquartered Badger Meter Inc. has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire UDlive Limited,the UK-based provider of hardware‑enabled software solutions for sewer line monitoring, for $100 million, plus contingent consideration. The transaction is expected to close at the end of April 2026.

UNITED UTILITIES 48M KNUTSFORD SEWER UPGRADE PROJECTLocal councillors and the Mayor of Knutsford have seen first‑hand the progress being made on United Utilities’ £48 million scheme to upgrade the sewer network across Cheshire and improve water quality in Knutsford.

SOUTH WEST WATER Sidmouth storm tankSouth West Water has reached a major milestone in works to install a new storm tank in Sidmouth to reduce storm overflow spills.

UNITED UTILITIES PIPELINE GENERICUnited Utilities has started work on a £2.9 million project to upgrade nearly 11km of water network in the Hartford area of Cheshire.

NI WATER Lough FeamNI Water is urging all visitors to its sites, including Lough Shannagh, Silent Valley Mountain Park, Ben Crom and Spelga Dam, to strictly avoid swimming, diving, paddle boarding or any form of water-based activity in these areas.
