Telecoms giant BT is the latest company to be granted water and sewerage licences for self-supply in the business retail water market by industry regulator Ofwat.
The licences, which came into force on 19 December 2018, enable BT to supply its own water and wastewater services.
BT joins a growing list of companies with multi-site locations opting for the self-supply route.
Other companies that have been granted self-supply licences include Coca-Cola European Partners, Heineken UK, Greene King, Marston’s PLC, Whitbread, Stonegate, Elis and Blackpool Council.
