NI Water, in partnership with Invest NI and key supply chain companies is holding a water sector innovation event on Wednesday 27th September for customers and stakeholders.
Announcing the event, NI Water said increasing pressure on water systems means current products, services and methodswill not be sufficient in the future which will have a significant impact on the economy.
NI Water and key supply chain companies are interested in new and innovative technology, product or service solutions.
The event will provide an overview of current innovation in the water sector and will promote new innovative products and services that businesses are providing to local and global markets.
The focus will be on providing solutions in the following areas:
- Solutions for Utility Strike Avoidance - Technologies and equipment to help reduce health and safety incidents
- Solutions to develop Smart Water and Waste Water Networks - Provision of Smart networks through automated asset monitoring and management
- Solution for Low TOTEX in Water and Waste Water Treatment systems - Whole life cost reduction technologies for low power, no power and reduced sludge production technologies
- Solutions in Advanced ICT - Digital transformation of multiple data sources, predictive analytics and artificial intelligence
Ni Water said the need for new and innovative technology, product or service solutions is seen as offering Northern Ireland companies high growth opportunities in a large and changing market. This will in turn encourage innovation and collaboration that can deliver the necessary business models and technological developments to drive economic activity.
