The Environment Agency has launched a new consultation on the guidance it provides to business about pollution prevention.
The Agency is in the process of updating the pollution prevention guidance note currently known as ‘General guide to the prevention of pollution: PPG 1’. The aim of the revised guidance( tobe known as ‘Introducing pollution prevention: PPG 1’.) is to help businesses understand their environmental responsibilities and improve their environmental performance. It includes updated legal references, more good practice advice and directs people to further information.
The Agency is asking for comments to ensure it meets stakeholder needs to help you them understand their legal responsibilities and environmental good practice. In particular, the Agency wants input on the proposed changes to the technical and legal content of the guidance note.
Deadline for submissions is 27th January 2012.
