Aquateca Ltd has applied to Ofwat for a water supply licence and a sewerage licence to provide retail services to eligible premises within the water retail market.
The water sector regulator is seeking comment on the application – Aquateca’s business address is 1st Floor Block C, The Wharf, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 1JG.
The company applied for the licence on 26 March 2020. Ofwat is inviting comment based on the following short synopsis of the business plan –
“Aquateca intends to become a highly cost-effective provider of water and wastewater services provider within the English non-domestic water market and will
operate an “on-line’’ business model with most customer interaction taking place
through their customer portal. Overheads will be minimised and Aquateca will
compete on low prices and excellent on-line customer service.”
Deadline to make representations or objections to Ofwat with respect to the application is 8 June 2020.
