Irish Water, Ireland’s national utility responsible for providing and developing water and wastewater services throughout Ireland, started work this week on a new waste water treatment plant in Shanbally as part of the Cork Lower Harbour Main Drainage Project.

Yorkshire Water has opened a specialist £8 million water treatment facility in Hull as part of a wider project to inspire a culture change in agricultural practices amongst East Yorkshire farmers.

Southern Water has gone out to tender with an AMP6 contract for sewer survey and sewage treatment consultancy services worth up to £20.4 million.

Thames Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply of natural gas during AMP6 and potentially AMP7 worth between £18 million to £25 million.

United Utilities has awarded an AMP6 contract for the supply of new and replacement centrifugal and positive displacement pumps worth an estimated £54 million.
