Arup: solid performance in tough market

Professional services and engineering consultancy Arup said the publication of its Annual Results for the twelve months to 31 March 2011 show the firm produced a solid performance in challenging trading conditions.

Anglian Water has been granted a second Drought Permit by the Environment Agency. The new Permit, which runs until the end of April 2012, allows the company to take extra water out of the River Nene at Wansford to top up its Rutland Water reservoir.

Ofwat consults on Bristol Water acquisition

Water industry regulator Ofwat has launched a new consultation on the completed acquisition of a 70% stake in Bristol Water by Canada-based Capstone Infrastructure Corporation.

The United Kingdom is the only European country which has failed to meet the deadline to provide the European Commission with information on its performance under the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive.
