Severn Trent Water has awarded Selwood a three year sole supplier framework agreement for the hire of surface and submersible pumps with a two year extension option.
Selwood, which has held a contract with Severn Trent since 2006, said that ongoing investment meant it had the necessary systems and resource in place to ensure a smooth transition.
The water company, which serves over eight million people, aims to ensure that its services are always available to its customers and operates an ‘Always On’ policy. Selwood said it recognised its responsibility, when undertaking both planned and unplanned work, to ensure that disruption to production and supply is kept to a minimum.
Sales and Operations Director Richard Brown commented:
“We have worked closely with Severn Trent Water for a number of years and have endeavoured to excel in the provision of high quality products, services and technical expertise. We continually monitor and improve our working practices to give a flexible approach to customers’ specific needs.”
Selwood manufactures the surface and hydraulic pumps to be supplied under the contract, as well as having one of the largest stock holdings of explosion proof electric submersible pumps, allowing the firm to provide a complete range of equipment for temporary pump hire applications.
