Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for asset inspection and testing worth an estimated £2 million.
The utility is looking to appoint a single supplier to the framework agreement, which could run for up to twelve years. The contract is 6 years plus a further 6 one year extension options.
Scottish Water wants a supplier to provide project specific asset inspection and testing services for both above ground and underground assets, including: Raw Water Infrastructure, Potable Water Infrastructure, Waste Water Infrastructure and other assets.
The inspection and testing techniques needed will ideally be compatible to use on live, in service assets which may contain potable water, will produce a highly accurate output and have no adverse health and safety concerns.
Other assets which may be included are aqueducts, tunnels, culverts, tankage and dams.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 8th October.
