Northumbrian Water has gone out to tender with a contract worth up to £114 million for its AMP6 sewerage repairs and maintenance work.
The water company is looking to appoint a maximum of two suppliers to the framework agreement, which is worth between 3112.5 million to £135 million.
The contract will cover repairs and maintenance of approximately 30,000 km of Northumbrian Water’s sewerage network in the North East of England. The scope of work includes reactive and planned, repairs and maintenance, the provision of 365/24/7 emergency call out cover, sewer cleansing, CCTV services, blockage clearance, root cutting, mapping and other associated services on the sewerage network.
Bidders must be able to provide the full scope of work outlined in the tender. Northumbrian Water is estimating a spend of between £12.5 million to £15 million per annum over a potential 9 year duration. The initial contract period is 3 years with two options to extend by a 3 further years.
The procurement process will be conducted electronically with all documents and communication being managed through the Northumbrian Water e-Sourcing Spend Management portal hosted by Ariba.

Once an expression of interest has been received, applicants will be given access to the Ariba portal containing the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). Deadline for the return of the completed PQQ is 7th August at 16:00 pm.
