Galliford Try Infrastructure is understood to be the main contractor for Anglian Water’s new £44million reservoir near Newton-on-Trent.
It was awarded the contract along with its joint venture partner Imtech Process.
Construction will start this month for about two years with the aim of securing water supplies to the growing population of Lincoln and the surrounding area.
A new pumping station will abstract water, under licence from the Environment Agency, from the River Trent close to Newton-on-Trent into a 20-acre storage reservoir which will hold around 230 million litres of water.
