United Utilities has gone out to tender with an AMP8 contract for the supply, delivery and installation of water municipal screens, spares and associated equipment with an estimated total value of £80.6 million including VAT.

The water company is looking to award framework agreements for the supply and delivery of water municipal screens to support projects throughout AMP8 and AMP9 across United Utilities wastewater sites.
The contract, which includes design, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning, is being tendered in the following four Lots:
- Lot 1: Supply, install and commissioning of coarse, fine and combined screens including legacy/current spares and associated equipment - Value £33,165,300 (exc VAT)
- Lot 2: Supply, install and commissioning of band screens including legacy/current spares and associated equipment - Value £6,701,200 (exc VAT)
- Lot 3: Supply, install and commissioning of CSO powered screens including legacy/current spares - Value £23,891,200 (exc VAT)
- Lot 4: Supply of CSO static screens including legacy/current spares - Value £3,416,700 (exc VAT)
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2031 with further possible extension options up to 30 November 2036. Estimated framework award decision date is 16 November 2026.
Deadline for submission of enquiries about the tender is 2:00pm on 7 August 2026 and tender submission deadline is 2:00pm on 14 August 2026.
