Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply, maintenance, modifications and hire of generators with a total estimated value of £7.2 million including VAT.

Scope of the contract for the supply, maintenance/repair and modifications of fixed and mobile generators covers the following services:
- Fixed generator on-site installation, maintenance and repair work carried out by suitably qualified and trained staff
- Fixed and mobile generators off-site repair carried out by suitably qualified and trained staff
- Mobile generators installation, maintenance and repair work carried out by suitably qualified and trained staff
- Supply and installation of spare/replacement parts for generators
- Supply, installation, mechanical and electrical maintenance and commissioning of mains and generator air circuit breakers by an approved OEM Engineer
- G99 Generator interface protection; Provision of generators and associated equipment hire.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 3 February 2027 to 2 February 2030 with further possible extension options up to 2 February 2034.
Deadline for submission of enquiries about the contract is 11:59pm on 24 July 2026 and deadline for requests to participate is 11:59pm on 31 July 2026. Estimated award decision date is 30 October 2026.
