Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a contract for fleet maintenance and management services with an estimated value of £12.728 million.

The contract is for the provision of fleet maintenance and management services associated with NI Water's fleet across Northern Ireland.
The main areas of work covered under the contract are the provision and management of the servicing, maintenance and repair (SMR) certification (e.g. Goods Vehicle Certificate (GVC, O-Licence, LOLER etc) of the company’s Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) and Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) fleets.
The work must be carried out on the contractors or nominated sub-contractors premises unless specified and agreed otherwise (e.g. mobile servicing) by NI Water’s Service or Contract Manager.
The contract also includes the provision of associated information via a contractor provided Fleet Management System/platform and linked mobile driver application (Driver App) relating to all services provided on the NI Water fleet. The information will inform the the water company’s current and future fleet management strategy to fully meet legislation requirements or company objectives.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029 with further possible extension options to 30 September 2033. Deadline for submission of requests to participate is 11:59pm on 19 December 2025.
Estimated award decision date is expected in September 2026.
