United Utilities awards £3.2 million AMP8 framework contract for supply of submersible pumping stations

United Utilities has awarded an AMP8 framework contract for the supply of submersible pumping stations worth an estimated £3.2 million.

The framework is for the supply of submersible pumping stations to empty sewage detention tanks and will cover all ofUnited Utilities’ requirements for this product for the whole of AMP8. The pumping stations will be supplied at a maximum depth of 6m and range between 2m and 6m depth.

Contracts on the framework have been awarded to Dutypoint Limited Gloucester and Sustainable Drainage Systems Limited.

The contract for the framework said that the water company envisaged a maximum of two suppliers to the agreement when it first went out to tender.
