Defra Network tenders £9.8m pumps purchase and refurbishment contract on behalf of Environment Agency

Defra Network Mobile Assets (MA) has gone out to tender on behalf of the Environment Agency with a contract for pumps purchase and refurbishment worth an estimated £9.8 million.

DEFRA ADDRESS PLATE

Defra Network is looking to establish two national contracts :

  • Lot 1: To award a managing agent / tier 1 supplier for the purchase of all pumps (2” – 36”); including the auxiliary equipment. This enables flexibility in the assets as the market evolves and moves away from diesel pumps.
  • Lot 2: A single supplier who provides refurbishment services for all of the EA’s submersible pumps.

The estimated value of £9.8 million is across both lots across all 6 years.

Initial contract term is 4 years beginning 1 October 2024 with a future 2 year extension option which will finally expire 30 September 2030.

Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 31 July 2024 – click here to access the tender documentation
