South West Water has awarded an AMP7 contract for the supply of submersible and immersible pumps and associated spares worth an estimated £1.86 million in total.

The water company has a strategy of standardisation and rationalisation for wastewater submersible and immersible pumps across its asset base – South West Water operates around 1400 wastewater sites.
Two companies - Leighton Buzzard-headquartered Grundfos UK Ltd and Nottingham firm Xylem Water Solutions UK Ltd – have been awarded a place on the framework. The suppliers were among six companies in the bidding for the work.
The contract was originally tendered via the Achilles Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) qualification system.
Lowest offer South West Water received for the work was £1,861,126.17 and the highest offer was £2,329,771.15.
