Scottish Water has awarded a framework agreement for servicing and maintenance of its PV power assets worth an estimated £1.5 million.

The water company went out to tender in April last year to procure services for the operation, servicing, reactive maintenance and capital maintenance of Scottish Water Energy Team’s suite of PV power assets.
Scope of services to be provided under the contract include:
cleaning services of the PV panels
ability to operate and service the assets
delivery of planned (ie capital) and reactive MEICA maintenance of the assets and component parts
production of inspection and servicing reports and asset condition reports.
ability to do root cause analysis and investigation of any failures
ability to maximise generation and asset availability
Glasgow-based firm Absolute Solar and Wind Ltd has been awarded the contract – initial term is 3 years with up to 5 years’ further extension options.
