Wessex Water has appointed a number of contractors to its AMP7 structural steelworks framework.

Work to be provided under the framework covers the design, manufacture and installation of structural steelwork, metalwork and permanent access fabrications.
Typical types of works include:
- stairways and landings;
- walkways;
- platforms;
- ladders;
- handrails;
- flooring (plate and open grid) and other works as appropriate.
- surface preparation, treatment and finishing – including blast cleaning, galvanising and painting
Wessex Water conducted the procurement process for the framework agreement via the Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) qualification scheme operated by Achilles Information Ltd.
The UVDB provides a common system for subscribing utility entities to select suppliers for invitation to participate in regulated procurement procedures.
