Southern Water seeks supply chain interest in upcoming reservoir maintenance procurement

Southern Water has published a preliminary market engagement notice inviting interested suppliers to register their interest ahead of an upcoming reservoir maintenance procurement.

Scope of Works includes:

  • planned and reactive maintenance
  • structural repairs
  • pipework renewals
  • membrane installations
  • asset upgrades

 

Suppliers will be expected to support a range of activities including inspection, rehabilitation, replacement of reservoir components, and management of associated conduits, valves, and outlet works in line with industry best practice and regulatory requirements. Core focus is on ensuring asset integrity, water quality protection, and network resilience.

There is also a requirement to support emergency response, isolation planning, and development of site-specific procedures, alongside ensuring all works meet potable water standards (including Regulation 31 compliance).

Current estimated start and end contract dates are 18 December 2026 to 18 December 2030 with a further possible extension option up to 18 December 2034.

The engagement process is being conducted via Southern Water's sourcing portal. Suppliers who are not already registered on the system will first need to register on the Jaggaer sourcing portal (this is required only once).

Once suppliers are registered and logged in they will then receive an email with a unique password and be able to respond to the PQQ/ITT.

Engagement deadline is 25th September 2026 and estimated publication date of a tender notice is also 25 September 2026
