Southern Water has awarded a number of AMP7 Water Resources Planning and Investigations programme contracts worth up to an estimated £25 million in total.

The contract was tendered in the following 8 Lots:
- Lot 1: Water Resources Supply Assessment
- Lot 2: Water Resources Demand Assessment - Assessment of household and non-household demand
- Lot 3: Water Resources Environmental Assessment - assessment and forecasting of environmental impacts and benefits including statutory requirements (SEA, HRA, WFD).
- Lot 4: Optioneering for WRMP and Drought Plan - options appraisal and environmental assessment for water resource and drought schemes.
- Lot 5: Plan Development (WRMP and Drought Plan) stakeholder engagement, decision making and preparation of statutory water resource management and drought plans
- Lot 6: Town and Country Planning in Support of Water Resources Management - planning services and advice for appraisal of water resource and drought options and schemes.
- Lot 7: Groundwater Modelling - provision of groundwater modelling services to support water resource planning, drought management and environmental investigations.
- Lot 8: WINEP Investigations - support water industry national environment programme (WINEP) investigations, options appraisal, mitigation and groundwater field investigations.
The following companies have all been awarded contracts:
- Adams Hendry Consulting Ltd – Lot 6
- AECOM – Lot 3
- Artesia Consulting Ltd - Lot 2
- Atkins - Lots 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 & 8
- Jacobs U.K. Ltd - Lots 2, 5
- Mott MacDonald – Lots 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8
- Ovarro Ltd - Lot 2
- Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions UK Ltd – Lots 1, 3, 4, 7 & 8
Total estimated contract value at award is £25 million for the whole framework which has been split evenly across all 8 Lots. Southern Water said it is it is not possible at the point of award to ascertain what the contract values for individual Lots will be over the life of the framework.
Initial contract term is four years with extension options of up to four further years.
