Water retailer Business Stream has secured a new supply contract with the UK's largest premium vehicle manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover.
The agreement will see the Edinburgh-based retailer supply all of the manufacturer’s 29 water supply points in England with water and wastewater services.
Business Stream will undertake a full review of Jaguar Land Rover’s sites, as well as installing new automatic water reader meters to enable the company to make greater water efficiency savings.
Jaguar Land Rover sells over 500,000 vehicles per year worldwide from a global manufacturing base in the UK, Austria, Brazil, China and Slovakia, and has delivered annual water efficiency targets within its responsible business strategy.
Going forward, Business Stream will work with the company’s Water Focus Group for better water management at the six main production and administration sites in the UK.
Jo Dow, Chief Executive at Business Stream, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to be working with the UK’s largest premium vehicle manufacturer. Our focus now will be to develop a strong partnership with Jaguar Land Rover and deliver on our commitment to support the company with its environmental strategy, as well as help to deliver financial savings.”
In addition to providing a single consolidated bill covering their sites, Business Stream will provide access to its dedicated account management service, which includes day-to-day support and 24/7 emergency assistance, if required.
Business Stream, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scottish Water, is the largest operator in the Scottish non-domestic water market. Headquartered in Edinburgh, it also has offices in Glasgow and Worthing, and employs around 400 people.
On 1 October 2019, Business Stream acquired the customer base of its competitors Yorkshire Water Business Services (YWBS) and Three-Sixty, both part of the Kelda Group, doubling its market share.
