Yorkshire Water awards £4.8m sludge handling contract

Yorkshire Water has awarded a contract for sludge logging and reporting services at its sites worth an estimated £4.8 million.

All sludge, commercial and domestic liquid import movements into 29 of the water company’s treatment works are recorded through sludge loggers on site. The system procured under the contract will be used to record and report on the movements.

Reading-based firm J R Pridham Services Ltd has been awarded the contract, one of two companies in the bidding for the work.

The firm numbers many of the UK water companies amongst its clients, together with a wide range of Tier 1 contractors in the water sector.
