Heavy rain this week has seen properties in parts of the UK flooded and residents evacuated from their homes, with Lancashire particularly badly affected. The weather station at Lancaster University recorded its highest ever rainfall total since the centre started weather observations more than 50 years ago.
United Utilities said rainfall had reached "unprecedented levels" - the levels were higher than Storm Desmond in December 2015 which saw around 5,200 homes in Cumbria flooded.
More than 80 flood warnings and flood alerts which were in place have been have been taken down over the last 2 days and are no longer required.
However, currently 6 flood warning are still in place where immediate action is required with 13 alerts where flooding is possible.
