Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire County Councils have gone out to tender with a framework contract for the hire of construction and civil engineering machinery plant and equipment, with and without operators, worth an estimated £6 million.
The contract, which is being tendered in Lots, covers a wide range of equipment, including road rollers, mechanical excavators, mobile cranes, tractors, grass cutting machines HGV vacuum tankers, tippers, road sweepers, road rollers, concrete mixers, water pumps, sludge pumps and hand held power tools.
The initial contract will run for 2 years with a further 2 year extension option.
