Northumbrian Water has awarded a contract for a Customer Identity Access Management solution to a Canadian firm.
Vancouver-based company LoginRadius has been awarded the £402,000 contract – one of ten firms in the bidding for the work.
The water company’s customers are currently able to create and login to an online account to view current and historic bills and undertake minor account administration.
The login process is currently managed in-house and is linked to Northumbrian Water's Customer Information and Billing System for authentication.
The new Customer Identification and Management (CIAM) solution will replace the existing billing system which will be retired this year.
Northumbrian Water described the new solution as providing an “ideal starting point to give a better online customer experience” it should provide a better sign-up experience for customers and provide greater insights into customer needs.
It also views it as an opportunity to improve the current system and create the foundation to build its current and future web services upon.
The initial 3-year contract has the option to extend for an additional 2 years.
Set up in 2012, LoginRadius Inc., is a leading provider of cloud-based Customer Identity and Access Management (cIAM) solutions. In July the firm announced the opening of two new offices in London, UK and Sydney, Australia intended to support its expansion plan in these markets, together with better serving European and Australian customers.
