Northumbrian Water tenders £6m sewage removal services contract

Northumbrian Water has gone out to tender with a contract for sewage removal services worth up to £6 million.

The contract covers wet well cleaning services when appropriate at sewage treatment facilities and pumping stations within its Northern geographic area.

The water company is looking to appoint up to 14 suppliers to the framework agreement, which is worth between £4 million to £6 million.

The contract also requires the disposal of product removed from tanks where this cannot be recycled at other Northumbrian Water production facilities.

Duration of the framework, which is being tendered in Lots, is three years with options to extend for a further 2 years.

Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 30 May 2017 – click here to access the tender documentation.
