Yorkshire Water tenders £4m motor vehicles contract

Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply of motor vehicles worth an estimated £4 million.

The contract covers the supply of 4x4 vehicles, including:

Yorkshire Water are seeking manufacturers who can supply one or a number of lots:

  • Lot 1 4x4 — Vans with full 4x4 capability that include a good towing capacity and payload.
  • Lot  All-Wheel Drive (AWD) — Medium sized vans e.g. Vivaro size, that have AWD or traction control capability for occasions where the vans are on slippy ground or tracks.
  • Lot 3 Car Derived Van (CDV) — the current CDV is modified by removing the rear seats, installing a bulkhead behind the driver and fitting out the rear of the car with a fridge for water sampling and suitable racking.
