Bazalgette Tunnel Ltd, trading as Tideway, the licensed Infrastructure Provider set up to finance, build, maintain and operate the Thames Tideway Tunnel, has gone out to tender with a Framework Agreement for IS Professional Services worth an estimated £6.7 million.
Tidewayis looking to appoint up to three suppliers to the framework agreement which will run for six years - an initial term of three years with options to extend for up to three further years.
The overarching role and purpose of the Framework Agreement is to support the Information Services directorate at Tideway in fulfilling their function of delivering and maintaining the information technology needs of the business.
Bazalgette said the IS Projects are usually system or application specific, broken down into four groups:
- Infrastructure and Network projects
- Information and Document Management projects
- Asset Management and Building Information Management (‘BIM’) projects
- Back Office systems projects (e.g. Finance, Human Resources (HR), Procurement, Health, Safety, Security,Environment (HSSE)).
Estimated total value of purchases for the duration of the agreement is put at between £5.5 million to £6.7 million. Tideway said it intends to appoint economic operators with the most economically advantageous tenders to the Framework Agreement .
The company is planning to hold an Information Day for potential applicants to meet the Tideway team during the PQQ phase (i.e. prior to submission of PQQ responses) in order to enhance market engagement on Monday 6 June 2016 at Tideway’s office in Paddington, London.
