Anglian Water has gone out to tender with a facilities management services contract with an estimated potential value of up to £60 million.
The utility and its associated companies are looking for facilities management suppliers to provide management of its facilities - hard and soft services - throughout the Anglian Water region at around 14 commercial buildings and 71 operational sites.
The contract is split into the following four Lots:
- Lot 1 FM Management Services — to manage commercial buildings and some operational sites.
- Lot 2 Hard Services — to provide hard FM services at commercial buildings and some operational sites.
- Lot 3 Soft Services — to provide soft FM services at commercial buildings and some operational sites.
- Lot 4 Catering Services — to provide catering services at commercial buildings and some operational sites.
Anglian Water said that the number of sites included may vary throughout the term of the agreement. It is also flagging up the fact that as a utilities company regulated by an external industry body, due to compliance directives, the scope may increase or decrease as a result of industry regulatory change imposed on the business which might impact the business operation, structure or function.
The company is reserving the right to award the lots to single or multiple suppliers, depending on which is the most economically advantageous.
The initial contract period will be 5 years with a 5 year extension option, starting on 1st June 2017 with a final completion date of 31st May 2027. Estimated value of the contract is put at between £20 million to £60 million.
For suppliers who want to bid for all Lots, Anglian Water will only consider experienced providers with a track record of delivery in the scope, scale and type of service outlined.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 11.00am on 16th May 2016 – click here to access the tender documentation.
