NI Water awards £18.6m leak detection contract

NI Water has awarded a contract for the provision of leakage detection services for sites across Northern Ireland worth an estimated £18.6 million. 

The contract, which will run for six years, was spilt into 2 Lots. 

Lot 1 covers leakage detection services within District Meter Areas with a target figure agreed for each District Meter Area before work commences. The service will be measured on a performance basis. .

For Lot 2, the successful contractor will provide leakage detection support to reduce leakage within District Meter Areas during periods of increased seasonal activity and major operational incidents.

RPS Environmental Management Ltd has won contracts for both Lots, while Larsen Water Management Ltd and Crowder & Co Ltd have both been awarded contracts under Lot 2.
