Public sector to set up water hygiene and associated services framework

Public procurement consortium Procurement For All Ltd is planning to hold a Discovery Day to inform potential suppliers about a new provisionally titled Water Hygiene and Associated Services Framework which will be available to a variety of public sector organisations nationally.

It is expected that the Framework will be available for domestic, commercial and communal properties and cover a wide range of public sector category buildings such as the housing sector and academic institutions. Other organisations to be covered under the framework include religious institutions, leisure and entertainment, as well as properties included in defence (e.g. Ministry of Defence) and public order and safety (e.g. Fire and Police).

At this stage Procurement For All Ltd is anticipating that the Framework will be split into Lots (1 for Servicing and 1 for Auditing) to cover services which include the following areas:

  • Temperature monitoring;
  • Maintenance of domestic water services and plants;
  • Maintenance of non-domestic water services and plants;
  • Water sampling;
  • Surveying and analysis;
  • Risk assessments;
  • Water storage tanks inspections;
  • New water tank installations;
  • Legionella monitoring;
  • Anti-scalding measures;
  • Water system treatment;
  • Reactive maintenance and inspection;
  • Mixing valves and water treatment services.

Procurement For All Ltd are now planning to hold a proposed Water Hygiene Discovery Day during the week starting 11th April in Manchester. The aim of the Day is to give Service Providers an opportunity to discuss the framework. Service Providers are being invited to register their interest in attending the discovery day via email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
