Scottish Water has awarded a number of contracts worth up to £6.6 million in total.
Northern Ireland-based Colloide Engineering Systems Ltd, one of five companies to bid for the work, has won a £3 million contract to supply the watee company with new bridge scrapers. The scope covers the design, installation and testing of rotating/travelling assemblies and rotating fixed full, half and hexagonal bridge scrapers for primary settlement and final settlement tanks in Scottish Water’s waste water treatment works.
Horsham firm Erg (Air Pollution Control) Ltd has won a contract for the supply of odour treatment and control equipment worth £1.8 million.
The work includes the surveying, design, manufacturing, works testing, delivery, off loading, installation, commissioning and testing of all odour control and treatment plants as well as the associated ancillary equipment. Erg were one of five companies who tendered for the contract.
Finally Scottish Water has appointed three companies to a £1.8 million framework agreement for the supply of grit removal plant and equipment.
Scope of the contract to be undertaken by Ems Industries Ltd from Stoke-on-Trent , West Midlands based Tuke and Bell Ltd and Ovivo UK Ltd of West Bromwich includes all major and ancillary plant along with necessary accessories to form a complete robust system capable of providing grit removal to the specification and standards required.
All of the contracts will run for up to 12 years.
