Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a construction works contract for sewage treatment plants, purification plants and refuse incineration plants worth up to £300 million.
The Non Infrastructure Major Works contract will cover a number of individual work packages, including:
- Wastewater and Water Treatment Process Works Design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the civil, environmental, process, mechanical and electrical elements (including instrumentation, control, automation and telemetry) for a new Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTWs) or Water Treatment Works (WTWs) or up-grade;
- refurbishment and extension of existing WwTWs or WTWs to achieve the defined outputs whilst delivering operational efficiencies and minimising utilisation of existing NI Water assets;
- Other Works Design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning or refurbishment and extension of service reservoirs, sea outfalls, combined storm overflows, pumping stations, building and civil engineering works.
NI Water is looking to appoint a maximum of six participants to the framework agreement which will run for six years with an estimated value of between £90 million to £300 million.
Deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 20th May, with a time limit for receipt of requests for documents or for accessing documents of 13th May.
