Severn Trent is investing £1.4 million to upgrade water pipes in Mickle Trafford and secure the water supply for generations to come.
The water company is installing 41km of water pipe across Great Barrow, Mickle Trafford and Aldford as part of a major upgrade of the network.
Work has already begun in Great Barrow with works due to start in Mickle Trafford on 4 August continuing through to April 2026.
Catherine Webb, Severn Trent Community Communications Officer said:
“You may have seen our team in your area recently carrying out site investigations. This work has helped us plan the best way to deliver a major upgrade to the water network.
“We understand that there have been several leaks and bursts in the area, but these essential upgrades will help secure your water supply for years to come — with fewer leaks, fewer bursts, and even better service.
