Severn Trent Water is getting ready to set out plans for two investment projects with a combined value of £7.5 million in total.
Residents in Chesterfield and Market Harborough are being invited to community meetings next week to hear all about Severn Trent’s plans to invest £5.5 million and £2 million respectively to improve the water networks in their area.
The scheme in Chesterfield, which is being undertaken by the water company’s partners NMCN, is scheduled for completion by December this year - the area will benefit from around 12 miles of new and improved water pipes.
The £2 million project in Market Harborough will see 5km of ageing metal water pipes replaced with new plastic pipes water pipes. Initial investigation works, ahead of the 12-month project are due to start shortly - the first phase of work will begin on 18th February.
